Sons of Zeno - "ZeNotes" CD TI picked up your newest CD from the Post Office this afternoon, I don't get mail delivered to me out here in the woods and make the trip into the Post Office in Hawthorne about twice a week so I don't know for sure when it arrived here. I was on my way into Gainesville so I popped it into the car CD player to listen to it on the road, it is about a 30 minute drive into Gainesville. Then I listened to it on the way back home later, and have been listening to it again here at home this evening.
This is really great music, you guys are fantastic. Nice artwork too, I love your family photos on the cover. I see you have gathered more musicians, you guys really have a great sound.
The guitar on the 5th cut is outstanding, I take it from the liner that this must be Grant who is listed as the Bluegrass soloist. Whoever is the picker, he is good. I am a Bluegrass fan, especially Doc Watson, and this perked up my ears when I heard it.
Thank you so much for sending me the disc, I will be playing it a lot. I am still listening to your first CD.
BTW, if anyone up there has a camcorder why don't you shoot a music video of one of the songs and upload it to "YouTube.com". This site is viewed by millions all over the world every day and would be a great way to publicize your albums for free.
Thanks again for the CD,
Jerry
I really like this CD, maybe even more than I liked your first CD. It's a lot of fun to listen to, and I'm really impressed by the story and playing on "Tales of Misspent Youth", and the singing on "Pretty in Blue" was very moving. I laughed out loud when I heard "Toothache Blues" and "Nobody Wants the Wet Spot". Keep up the good work. Todd Youngerman...DJ for KAFM in Grand Junction...I played "Hard Work" last Saturday, and that song really cooks! The whole CD is really good, and I really like the political tunes that are on the album. Good job!

Have to admit, I'm in a funk these days. My Dad died November 12th. But, a real surprise today, from a real friend, you made my day. Thanks Bruce. Thanks man.

I'm actually liking this CD a little more than your first one, but then again, I'm more of a softie for music that "moves". The musicianship is very tight, and I'm diggin' the bluegrass and country influences, as well as the standard bluesy feel of your tunes.
